Adaptive Probe Volumes (APV) transform indirect lighting capabilities, improving authoring iterations, enhancing visual fidelity, and streamlining memory efficiency.

Apply a dynamic time of day lighting scenario to virtual environments

Bake individual APV lighting scenarios and blend between them at runtime using scripting with Sky Occlusion.

Utilize GPU processing power to accelerate baking of lightmaps and probes

The New Light Baking Architecture and GPU Lightmapper impacts the production of most artifacts related to baked lighting: lightmaps, light probes, shadowmasks, ambient occlusion textures, etc. The simplified code base makes it easier and faster to fix bugs and it lowers the risk of introducing new ones. It also lowers the minimum spec GPU to 2GB.
